Saturday Recap: Blacksmith leads Jr. Sens to win

A four-point night for Chiwetin Blacksmith (1G/3A) led the way for the Ottawa Jr. Senators, who battled back from an early 2-0 deficit to down the visiting Rockland Nationals by a 7-3 decision.

Silas Mattawashish (2G/1A) and Owen Guy (2G) also turned in star performances for the Jr. Sens (6-2-0), while former QMJHL forward Aaron Brisebois scored in his debut for the Nationals (4-3-2).

Ottawa starter Francis Boisvert left the game after just 3:35 with an injury; Gab Carriere stopped 34 of 36 shots faced in relief to pick up his third win of the season.

 

Rookie Jordan Power had two assists in the loss for Rockland.
