Carleton Place, Ont. — The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce that Carleton Place Canadians goaltender Jeremie Forget (Mascouche, Que.) has committed to the NCAA’s Princeton University for the 2018-19 seaosn.

Forget, 20, currently leads the league in wins (12), save-percentage (.936) and goals-against average (1.56) and had previously stated his goal of playing for an Ivy League institution.

The Carleton Place puckstopper’s incredible season has been highlighted by a ridiculous 190-minute shutout streak between Oct. 1-9.

Forget is a Tabor Academy (’17) alum and hopes to pursue a career in finance like his father.

Princeton, which competes in the ECAC hockey conference, currently has five CCHL alumni — Joey Fallon (Gloucester), Max Veronneau (Gloucester), Neil Doef (Smiths Falls), Ryan Kuffner (Gloucester) and Colin Tonge (Brockville) — on its roster.
