Weekly CJHL Rankings – CP #2 & OJS #9

Ottawa Ontario – The Weekly CJHL Rankings were announced Monday morning and saw the CCHL’s Carleton Place Canadians and Ottawa Jr. Senators drop among this week’s top 20.

The Carleton Place Canadians dropped from number one in the CJHL Rankings to number two this week. That snaps a four week period where Carleton Place was number one in the rankings.

Carleton Place suffered just their third regulation loss of the season after Kanata downed them, 4-1 on Thursday night. They did bounce back with two straight wins this weekend over Rockland (7-2) and Pembroke (3-1).

The Ottawa Jr. Senators finished the week with a 1-1 record, dropping from number seven last week to number nine this week. Ottawa suffered a very tough loss to the Kemptville 73’s (5-4) on Friday night but ultimately bounced back with a win over the Brockville Braves (4-3OT) on Saturday.

No. 2 Carleton Place are still at the top of the CCHL standings, sitting 10 points clear of the No. 9 and Fred Page Cup-host Ottawa Jr. ‘A’ Senators.
