WEEKEND RECAP I Wild Weekend for the CCHL

Ottawa, ON- On what was a busy weekend schedule for the CCHL, we saw goals, saves and some big hits.    Teams are ready to play.

Saturday

Cornwall 2 Ottawa 1

In the lone game Saturday, these two faced off looking to get back on track.    In the end off of goals from Tristan Miron and Brayden Bowen the Colts squeaked out a win.    Gabriel Pelchat with his 1st in the loss.

Sunday

Rockland 4 Kemptville 1

This game featured something that doesn’t happen often for the Nationals; a scoreless first period.    Both teams would find their footing but in the end Rockland continues theior strong start to the 24-25 season with a 4-1 win.   Tremblay x2, Gosselin & Kelloway in the win while Sydney Loreto got the lone 73’s goal.

Nepean 7 Renfrew 2

The teams traded goals in the 1st with Taylor & Smith scoring for Nepean while Penney & Souliere scoring for Renfrew.   In the 2nd, teh Raiders exploded for 5 goals (McGurn x2, Campbell, Nadeau & Benoit) to blow it open.

Navan 5 Carleton Place 2

The old saying its not how you start its how you finish and this was true in this one.   Carleton Place got off to a fast start scoring 2 goals in 19 seconds (Kay & Mathews) but the defending champs flexed their muscle scoring 4 straight (4 in the 3rd to win it).   Connors, Holmes, Carpenter, Johnson & Latreille.

Smiths Falls 4 Brockville

This game was intense.   In what was the theme for this day, Brockville took the lead very early thanks to Brandon Paluszak but Smiths Falls scored 4 straight with the final into an empty net for the win.   Dagg, Heron, Ashcroft and Ouellette with the tallies.

Hawkesbury 10 Pembroke 5

I hope you took the over as this was the highest scoring game to date.    The Hawks got goals from 9 different players with Remi Gelinas leading the way with 5 pts.   Pembroke did not go away as Eric Barnard had 4 pts of his own.
