Week 20 – Power Rankings

  1. Carleton Place Canadians (40-4-3) (CJHL #1) | LW: 1 (–) | Results: 3-1W at SFB, 5-2W at NAV | Carleton Place continues their dominance in the CCHL with 2 wins this past week. The Canadians are the first team in the CCHL to get to 40 wins on the year.
  2. Ottawa Jr. Senators (37-6-4) (CJHL #5) | LW: 2 (–) | Results: 6-3W at HAW, 7-2W at PEM | The Juniors Sens also had a dominant stretch scoring 13 goals in 2 games. Although the Sens moved down the CJHL rankings to 5th, they continue to lead the Yzerman division
  3. Kanata Lasers (24-14-8) | LW: 3 (-) | Results: 5-3W vs. NEP, 3-2L at BRO, 4-1W vs. KEM | The Lasers were able to rebound from a not so great week last week getting wins over the Nepean Raiders and the Kemptville 73’s. These wins help them secure their #3 spot in the Power Rankings.
  4. Brockville Braves (25-15-3) | LW: 5 (+1) | Results: 8-1W at SFB, 3-2W vs. KAN | The Braves put together some good victories with an especially dominant victory over the Smiths Falls Bears. They also knocked on the Lasers door with a win and hope to try and inch in to the top 3.
  5. Cornwall Colts (23-17-6) | LW: 6 (+1) | Results: 6-2W vs PEM, 5-4SOL at KEM | Scoring at high volume, the Colts came out with a win and a shootout loss this past week. If they can continue to put on high scoring affairs, the Colts will have the chance to move up even more in the Power Rankings.
  6. Hawkesbury Hawks (25-16-1) | LW: 4 (-2) | Results: 6-3L vs. OTT, 3-0L vs. SFB| Not the greatest week for the Hawkesbury Hawks as they dropped both of their games this past week. The Hawks will look to get back in the win column as they face off against the Navan Grads on the 24th of January.
  7. Rockland Nationals (23-20-3) | LW: 7 (-) | Results: 5-4W vs NEP, 4-3W vs NEP | Facing the Nepean Raiders twice last week, the Nationals were able to come out with the victories in both games. Currently boasting a 5 game winning streak, the Nationals will look to try and continue their momentum against the Carleton Place Canadians.
  8. Pembroke Lumber Kings(21-21-2) | LW: 8 (-) Results | 6-2L at. CRW, 4-1W vs. NAV, 7-2L vs. OTT | The Lumber Kings took 2 big time losses against the Cornwall Colts and the Ottawa Junior Sens letting 13 goals total in those 2 games. The Lumber Kings will look to try and rebound against the Navan Grads, a team they beat 4-1 this past week.
  9.  Smiths Falls Bears(16-23-4) | LW: 9 (-) | Results: 3-1L vs. CPC, 3-0W at HAW | The Bears were able to rebound from their loss against the Canadians and get a shutout win against the Hawkesbury Hawks. The Bears maintain their 9th spot.
  10.  Nepean Raiders(15-24-5) | LW: 10 (-) | Results: 5-3L at KAN, 5-4OTL at ROC, 4-3SOL vs. ROC | A week the Raiders would like to forget with a regulation loss and then extra period losses to the Rockland Nationals.
  11. Kemptville 73’s (13-33-2) | LW: 11 (-) | Results: 5-4SOL vs CRW, 4-1L vs. KAN | The 73’s were hoping to play spoiler against the Cornwall Colts taking the game to a shootout but unable to get the victory. 73’s will look to recover from their losses as they face the Brockville Braves on the 26th.
  12. Navan Grads (9-34-0) | LW: 12 (-) | Results: 4-1L at PEM, 5-2L vs. CPC | The losing streak continues for the Navan Grads as they hope to try and break out of their slump. The Grads have not won a game since November 26th.
