Wednesday Recap | Hawkesbury and Cornwall Pick Up Wins

The Cornwall Colts completed the came back by scoring three unanswered goals in the third period to force extra time before ultimately winning in a shootout.

After the Raiders were leading 3-0 after two periods,  Hebert, Mulhearn and Poirier scored in the third period. Hebert’s goal also came in the final two minutes and Orr scored the shootout winner. The Colts have now won three straight and have outscored opponents 20GF/14GA over their last five games where they have a 4-1 record.

With the loss the Nepean Raiders have lost four straight games and seven of their last eight games.

F | Hawkesbury 4, Kanata 1 

The Hawkesbury Hawks defeated the Kanata lasers 4-1 to extend their winning streak to four games.

Hawkesbury’s powerplay came in full force with three powerplay goals coming from David Jankowski, Michael Marleau, and Alec Beaudin-Tougas.  Jankowski scored his league leading 31st goal of the year.

With the loss, Kanata has lost three straight games and are 4-5-3 since the start of January.
