Brockville (6-1-0-0) made the trip to Smith’s Falls (3-4-0-1) in what was the Central’s only game Tuesday evening. Goals were a plenty in this shootout, as the Braves looked to take over sole possession of 1st in the CCHL.

It took a mere 25 seconds for Fred Allaire to get Brockville rolling,  netting his 3rd. Past the midway point of the opening period Nicholas Hawkins (4th) put his side up two on the powerplay. The Bears were able to cut into the lead with a goal from Brian Bygrave. Evan Kula was able to get Brockville back up by a deuce before Bruce Coltart scored and it was 3-2 Braves after one. 3:54 into the middle frame, Barrie Ontario’s Bailey Kirwin restored the two goal advantage for the Braves. However Smith’s Falls continued to show grit and displayed perseverance in front of the home crowd throughout the evening.  Mitchell Larabie made it a 4-3 game, shorthanded – his 1st of the season. Under a minute later it was Fred Allaire again, his 2nd of the night kept the back and forth going. Both teams were even throughout the 3rd until Joshua Spratt iced it for Brockville converting on an empty netter. Antoine Boudreau made 32 saves in the victory. The win means Brockville take over top spot in the CCHL standings (7-1-0-0)
