Down 3-1 heading into the 3rd, Smiths Falls was able to score 2 goals to tie things up and send the game to overtime. JD Pogue spoiled the comeback for Smiths Falls scoring the OT winner. Pogue not only had the OT winner but he also had an additional goal early in the 2nd period and an assist on the 3rd Colts goal.

A strong performance from Gabriel Carriere was not enough for Kanata as the Ottawa Junior Sens shot the puck 45 times on the Lazers. A powerplay goal from Owen Guy and a 3rd period goal from Pierre-Luc Veillette helped to secure the victory for the Junior Sens. Connor Hicks put in a solid performance getting 24 saves in the shutout.
