Thursday Recap | Colts and Grads both claim first wins of season

 

Ottawa, ON – Just two games on the ice last night which saw the Navan Grads grab their first victory of the season, with a road victory over Kanata, while the Cornwall Colts also got their first win of the year, picking up an OT win over Kemptville.

A 4-point performance from Alexander Way (1G, 3A) helped launch the Navan Grads to their first victory of the season last night on the road against the Kanata Lasers. Will Murray, Jackson Arcan, and Corson Searles also found the net while Seth Carter made 32 saves in the winning effort. 

Navan (1-4-0-1) is next in action Friday night when they host Pembroke (4-1-0-0) at 7:30PM. 

Kanata (3-2-0-0) is next in action Friday night when they visit Smiths Falls (2-2-0-1) at 7:30PM.

 

Cornwall Colts 6 Kemptville 73’s 5 OT

A lot of goals in this one, as the Cornwall Colts were able to earn the two-points in the end with a 6-5 OT victory over Kemptville. Konnor MacCormick had 3 points (2G, 1A) to lead the way, while Tristan Poissant had the OT winner and Michael Carr finished with 30 saves.  David Poirier, Henry Bishop, and Dylan Massie also found the net. 

Cornwall (1-5-0-0) is next in action next Thursday when they host Navan (1-4-0-1) at 7:30PM.

Kemptville (4-1-1-0) is next in action Sunday night when they visit Pembroke (4-1-0-0) at 7:00PM.
