Following the opening 2018 Fall Showcase weekend teams are back this week, some on the road, others hosting home openers in familiar facilities. Rockland visited the KRC and Kanata while the Braves made the trip to Cornwall

 

Rockland 2  Kanata 4

Late in the first period Rockland opened the scoring with Jean-Sylvain Boyer making good on a powerplay. Aiden Hilton was able to make it 2-0 on a a goal that got by Gabriel Carriere from a sharp angle. Kanata battled back throughout the back half of the 2nd with two goals from Patrick Keon and Graham Denomme. In the 3rd period Luca Nocita scored one worthy of the highlight reels that ended up as the game winner.

Brockville 1  Cornwall 0 

The Braves poured shots onto Michael Carr testing him 46 times throughout. Theo Citrullo was credited as the only goal scorer as Liam Souliere posted the shutout, 33 save performance. Both clubs were unsuccessful on the man advantage. The battle of attrition between these two was broken up courtesy of Citrullo at the 12:44 mark of the 3rd.
