Brockville 3, Smiths Falls 1
Christophe Cote had the winner as the Brockville Braves downed the visiting Smiths Falls Bears 3-1 at the Brockville Memorial Centre.
Fred Allaire and Mike McArthur had the other goals in the win for Brockville (7-6-0), while Alex DiCarlo had the lone goal in the loss for Smiths Falls (5-6-0).
Rookie goaltender Justin Evenson earned his fifth win of the season for the Braves.
Cornwall 4, Navan 3
Cameron Hebert scored twice as the Cornwall Colts edged the Navan Grads 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in Navan.
Justin McRae had three points (1G, 2A) in the winning effort for Cornwall (6-5-1); defenceman Simon Besner had a similar three-point day for the Grads (3-8-0).
Navan has now lost five of its last six games.
Carleton Place 6, Hawkesbury 1
Aiden Girduckis and Peyton Francis each netted a pair of goals as the Carleton Place Canadians steamrolled the visiting Hawkesbury Hawks.
Rookie Sam Allison had a trio of assists for Carleton Place (10-2-1), which became the first team to reach the 10-win mark in 2017-18.
Zach Fournier had the only goal for Hawkesbury (5-4-0).
Rockland 6, Nepean 3
Antoine Leblanc led the way with two goals as the Rockland Nationals earned a sweep of their home-and-home with the Nepean Raiders on Sunday via 6-3 decision in Nepean.
Rookie Zach Roy stopped 36 of 39 shots to earn the victory in net for Rockland (7-3-2), while Nepean (2-7-0) pulled starter Liam Souliere after he allowed five goals on 21 shots.
Mathieu Blanchette, Cole Lavoie, Dana Engram and Drew Shields also scored for the Nationals.
Pembroke 4, Ottawa 3 (SO)
The Pembroke Lumber Kings avoided a total collapse on Sunday night at the Pembroke Memorial Centre, where they earned a 4-3 shootout win over the visiting Ottawa Jr. Senators.
Goals from Brendan Browne, Matthew Allan and Mason Emoff staked Pembroke (7-4-0) out to a 3-0 lead, but the Jr. Sens (9-2-1) clawed back with Devon Daniels, Elie Boulerice and Silas Mattawashish drawing them level.
Pembroke goaltender Jake Smith made a number of key stops in overtime and the shootout to earn both points for Dale McTavish’s team.
Kanata 5, Kemptville 2
The Kanata Lasers earned an important road win on Sunday night in Kemptville, where they beat the hometown 73’s by a 4-2 score.
Jack Quinn continued his red-hot start to the season with a hat-trick for Kanata (6-6-1), which returned to .500 with the win over Kemptville (2-9-1).
Will Larsen scored his first-career CCHL goal late in the third period for the Lasers.
