Source for Sports Performers of the Month Announced

Ottawa, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the Source for Sports Performers of the month for February. 

Andrew Morton of Renfrew Wolves is the Skater of the Month. Dawson Labre of the Smiths Falls Bears earned Goaltender of the Month. Jaeden Nelson of the Navan Grads received Rookie of the Month.

Skater of the Month | Andrew Morton

The 2004 born in Uxbridge, ON has played 46 games this season so far with the Renfrew Wolves. Earning a total of 61 points (24G, 37A), 16 of those points coming from the month of February. To contribute to the Grads coming in at number five in the league. Morton was also named week 19’s Source for Sports Player of the Week.

Goaltender of the Month | Dawson Labre

The 2004 goaltender born in Les Cedres, QC has been in net for 36 games this season for the Bears’ with a record of 22-12. Currently Labre is at a 0.920 SV% and a 2.18 GAA. With Labre’s goaltending abilities, the Bears’ are currently sitting in second position in the league, with a secured spot in the playoffs. Labre has also commited to NCAA Ohio State University for the 2024-25 season.

Rookie of the Month | Jaeden Nelson

The 2007 born in Ottawa, ON is currently playing in his first season in the CCHL for the Navan Grads. This season, Nelson has been in net for 36 games earning a record of 23-8-2. To contribute to the Grads coming in at number one in the league overall, securing a spot in the playoffs.
