Smiths Falls pulls away in second, rolls over Kanata, 6-2

 

The Kanata Lasers allowed the Smiths Falls Bears to net three goals during the second period and fell, 6-2.

 

Michael McKenney had two goals and one assist to lead Smiths Falls. McKenney scored the first of his two goals at 2:32 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Smiths Falls. Corey Caruso picked up the assist. McKenney's next tally made the score 6-1 Smiths Falls with 10:28 left in the third period. Jesse Blais assisted on the tally.

The Bears forced Kanata's netminders to work all game long, firing 42 shots and forcing 36 saves. Alex Butler made 19 stops and Scott Cameron made 17.
