September Gongshow Three Stars of the Month

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce it’s Gongshow Three Stars of the Month for September.

Cornwall Colts goaltender Michael Carr takes home the first star of the month while Nepean Raiders goaltender Logan Bateman earns the second star and Darcy Walsh of the Ottawa Jr. Senators is the third star.

First Star: Cornwall Colts, Michael Carr.

Carr, 20, is in his second and final season in the CCHL after suiting up for the Colts as their backup to Liam Lascelle last year. The Columbus, Ohio, native went 3-5 in September, posting a 2.88 GAA and a .933 SV %. Recently, he has helped the Colts to victories over Ottawa (6-3, 38 SVS) and Smiths Falls (2-1, 54 SVS).

Second Star: Nepean Raiders, Logan Bateman.

Bateman, 20, went 3-4 with a 3.22 GAA and a .918 SV % in the first month of the season. The Ottawa, Ontario, native is coming off a 56 save win over the Kanata Lasers on Thursday. The uncommitted goaltender was acquired by the Raiders in the off-season after playing for Kanata last year. He has had to make 30 or more saves in six of his seven starts. 

Third Star: Ottawa Jr. Senators, Darcy Walsh. 

Walsh, 19, scored five goals and seven assists for 12 points in the month of September. The uncommitted forward tallied three multi-point games, with two of them being three-point games. The Gloucester, Ontario, native 12 points is T-4th in the CCHL. Last year he scored 23 goals and totaled 56 points in 61 games with Ottawa.
