CARLETON PLACE, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Carleton Place Canadians are pleased to announce that General Manager & Head Coach Brent Sullivan has been named Assistant Coach of the Ontario Hockey League’s Sarnia Sting.

Sullivan, who will remain as the Canadians Owner/Governor, steps down from his Head Coaching duties after two seasons.

Prior to his time behind the bench in the CCHL, Sullivan spent five seasons as an Assistant Coach with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees.

Sullivan will now return to the OHL in a coaching role with the same organization he played 129 games for between 2007 and 2011.

“I am incredibly honoured, humbled, and grateful for the opportunity to begin my OHL coaching career with the organization I played for,” said Sullivan. Sarnia is like a second home to me. I’m looking forward to getting to town and helping the players develop and get to the next level.”

“My wife Kayla and I will continue to own the Canadians and provide an environment prioritizing development and a safe space for our athletes. As excited as I am about my next coaching opportunity, I am equally excited to see what our Canadians will accomplish this season.”
