Ottawa, ON- On a busy Friday night schedule the Grads, Hawks, Raiders and Lumber Kings all come out with wins.
Navan 5 Rockland 4 (OT)
The question of who would finally defeat the Nationals was answered Friday night. The answer was the Navan Grads, although in extra time. This was a fun game for those in attendance. Kiki Brown (2nd) got the winner with 2 mins left in OT. Other scorers for the Grads were Johnson (7th), Jenken (2nd), Holmes (9th) & Marcellino (12th). For the Nationals, Tremblay (7th), Labre (2nd), Tellier (3rd) and Hall (8th).
UP NEXT: Navan is home to Smiths Falls on Sunday afternoon. Rockland plays in Pembroke Sunday night.
Hawkesbury 5 Kemptville 3
The Hawks got out of the gates quick with first period goals from Gelinas (11th), Charbonneau (6th), Besner (7th) and Bath (2nd). Kemptville mounted a bit of a comeback in the later half of the game but it was not enough. For the 73’s Emile Trottier got his 9th.
UP NEXT: Hawkesbury plays in Ottawa for a Saturday night game. Kemptville travels to Carleton Place for a Sunday afternoon game.
Nepean 6 Brockville 5
The trend stopped in this one as each of the previous 2 games the winner had 5 goals. This was also the highest scoring game of the night. The first period alone had 7 goals scored. The teams traded goals until the 2nd period (Nepean then Brockville). The winner was scored by Tyler Smith (4th) moments into the 3rd period.
UP NEXT: Nepean plays host to Renfrew Sunday afternoon while Brockville plays in Kemptville on Wednesday night.
Pembroke 3 Smiths Falls 2
Big time players step up in big moments. This was the case in this one as Jayson Alegria scored the OT winner 47 seconds in to give the Lumber Kings the win. Eric Barnard (8th) and Alyandro De Leon (3rd) with the others for Pembroke while Kyle Dagg (4th) and Davis Hailis (1st) scored for Smiths Falls.
UP NEXT: Pembroke is back at home for a Sunday night game versus Rockland. Smiths Falls travels east to face the Navan Grads for a Sunday afternoon matchup
