The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the December Gongshow Academic Player of the Month is Ugo Roik of the Nepean Raiders.

Ugo, a forward with the Raiders, has persevered through an injury that kept him out of the Raiders lineup since the beginning of the season. The CCHL’s Academic Player of the Month for December made his return to the lineup in late November and has had an immediate impact; Ugo has had a great month in the classroom and on the ice. The grades he achieved on tests and assignments for the month of December average out to an A- overall while taking courses in the Business Program at Carleton University.

On the ice in the month of December, Ugo tallied 7 points (4 goals and 3 assists) in 9 games. Congratulations to Ugo on his performance over the past month both in his academic and athletic endeavours.
