NICHOLAS HODGINS COMMITS TO UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA FOR 2017-18

 

The Central Canada Hockey League and Kemptville 73’s are pleased to announce that ’96 born G Nicholas Hodgins will join the University of Ottawa Gee Gees Hockey Program for 2017-18.

 

The Carp, ON native is in his third season with Kemptville where he boasted an impressive 24-16-1-1 with a 2.52 GAA, .923 SV%, and 5 shutouts.  In 124 career regular season and playoff starts, Hodgins has a record of 55-46-1-4 with 10 shutouts.

 

A 5th round selection of the Pembroke Lumber Kings back in 2011, Hodgins would begin his junior career with the Renfrew Timberwolves of the CCHL2 before moving on to the CCHL’s Smiths Falls Bears before ultimately landing in Kemptville. 

 

“Nick is a focused competitor who works hard every practice to improve,” said 73’s Head Coach Ron Tugnutt.  “He has been an integral part of our team who gives us a chance to succeed each game”, added Tugnutt.
