Morning Recap | Four games Friday night wrapped up January

 

Ottawa, ON – Four games across the CCHL region on Friday night saw the Carleton Place Canadians, Hawkesbury Hawks, Smiths Falls Bears, and Navan Grads picking up victories.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 2 BROCKVILLE 0

Andrej Hromic and Cameron Patton scored goals, while Devon Levi made 30-saves for his league leading 7th shutout of the season as Carleton Place improved to a CCHL best 40-6-3-2. Brockville saw their record fall to 30-11-3-4 as Jake Begley made 40-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 4 ROCKLAND 2

Matt Gasuik, Thomas Winn, Kris Pietroniro, and Luke Grainger tallied goals, while Mathieu Chenier made 27-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 28-17-2-0. Rockland, who fell to 32-15-0-2, had goals from Matthew Vermaeten and Andrew Aboumossa, while Cole Hudson made 36-saves in the loss. 

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 5 KEMPTVILLE 3

Brent Broaders scored twice, Tate Leeson, Ryan Richardson, and Justin Trudel also scored goals, while Victor Desjardins made 26-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 25-18-2-2 on the year. Kemptville, who saw their record drop to 19-25-4-0, had goals from Madoka Suzuki, Chase Broda, and Jeff Taylor, while Riley McCabe made 29-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | NAVAN 6 NEPEAN 3

Jackson Arcan netted a hat trick, Alex Robert, Alec Lovisek, and Zane Dalpe also found the back of the net, while Alex Aslanidis made 25-saves as Navan improved to 22-25-1-0 on the year. Nepean fell to 8-38-1-2, receiving goals from Matt McQuade, Zachary Gravel, and Alex Rossides.
