Morning Recap | Five Games in Busy Friday night of CCHL action

 

Ottawa, ON – It was a busy night of CCHL action with five games across the league, seeing victories from the Kanata Lasers, Hawkesbury Hawks, Smiths Falls Bears, Navan Grads, and Rockland Nationals.

 

F | KANATA 6 BROCKVILLE 5

Mathieu Parent and Paul Larabie tallied two goals apiece, Dylan McMahon and Austin Paul also scored goals, while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 48-saves as Kanata held off the third period Brockville surge to improve to 18-14-1-4 on the season. Brockville, who saw their record fall to 25-7-3-0, had goals from Riley Twofoot, Anthony Biniaris, Ryan Gillespie, Charlie Merkley, and Simon Kerr.

 

F | HAWKESBURY 4 CORNWALL 1

Patrick Callahan, Dovar Tinling, Evan Johnston, and Matt Gasuik tallied goals, while Zach Johnson made 24-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 20-14-2-0. Cornwall saw their record fall to 13-23-1-1.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 5 CARLETON PLACE 3

Brendan Dempsey, Theo Todd, Noah Adams, Justin Trudel, and Ryan Richardson found the back of the net, while Victor Desjardins made 30-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 16-15-2-1 on the year. Carleton Place fell to 31-5-3-2, receiving goals from Ayo Adeniye, Daniel Nelson, and Brett Thorne, while Mitchell Bradley made 20-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | NAVAN 4 KEMPTVILLE 3

Wil Murray (2), Alex Robert, and Tristan Francis scored goals, while Alex Aslanidis made 39-saves as Navan improved their season record to 15-23-0-0. Kemptville, who fell to 15-19-3-0, had goals from Madoka Suzuki, Yancy Whitaker, and Chase Lammi, while Riley McCabe made 25-saves in the loss.

 

F | ROCKLAND 10 PEMBROKE 1

William Collins (2), Jack Sullivan (2), Daniel Menges, Cameron Scrivens, Joe Jordan, Cameron Last, Vincent Labelle, and Simon Labelle all found the back of the net, while Cole Hudson made 23-saves as Rockland improved to 24-12-0-2 on the year. Pembroke saw their record drop to 19-16-1-1.
