Morning Recap | Five games across region in busy Sunday of CCHL action

 

Ottawa, ON – A busy Sunday across the CCHL saw five games of action as the Hawkesbury Hawks, Navan Grads, Brockville Braves, Cornwall Colts, and Rockland Nationals all picked up victories. 

 

F | HAWKESBURY 6 NEPEAN 2

Matt Gasuik, Patrick Callahan, Jeremie Payant, Kris Pietroniro, Zachary Lefebvre, and Sean Clarke scored, while Zach Johnson made 17-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 27-16-2-0. Scoring for Nepean, who saw their record fall to 8-34-1-2 was Zachary Gravel who netted two goals.

 

F | NAVAN 4 KEMPTVILLE 3 OT

Ryan Park (2), and Wil Murray scored in regulation, Devyn Orpana scored the overtime winner, while Alex Aslanidis made 39-saves as Navan came-back from trailing 3-0 to improve to 19-25-0-0 on the season. Kemptville, who fell to 19-21-4-0 had goals from Hunter Brazier, Luke Jefferies, and Jared Patterson, while William Anderson made 31-saves in the loss.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 4 CARLETON PLACE 1

Matthew Shanklin, Justin McRae, Parker Casey, and Mathieu Wuth netted goals, while Jake Begley made 30-saves as Brockville improved to 30-9-3-2 on the year. Carleton Place, who saw their record fall to 37-6-3-2, had their lone goal from Brett Thorne, while Devon Levi made 18-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | CORNWALL 3 KANATA 1

Tanner Tarbell, Riley Brennan, and James St-Louis found the back of the net, while Jakob Robillard made 36-saves as Cornwall improved to 16-28-1-2 on the season. Kanata saw their record fall to 19-20-1-5.

 

F | ROCKLAND 3 PEMBROKE 1

Matthew Vermaeten, Cameron Pound, and Cole Craft scored goals, while Cole Hudson made 22-saves as Rockland improved their season record to 30-13-0-2. Pembroke saw their record fall to 22-20-2-1.
