Morning Recap | Five CCHL Games in Busy Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – There were five games across the CCHL region on Sunday, seeing victories from the Hawkesbury Hawks, Smiths Falls Bears, Ottawa Junior Senators, Navan Grads, and Rockland Nationals.

 

HAWKESBURY 4 KEMPTVILLE 3

Thomas Cusson, Willyam Gendron, Jakson Kirk, and Curtiss Sturgeon tallied goals, while Dimitri Pelekos made 18-saves as Hawkesbury won their tenth straight game to improve to  27-91-2 on the season. Kemptville, who fell to 20-13-3-2, had goals from Devon Savignac, Brock Krulicki, and Adam Cavallin, while Tyler Laureault made 27-saves in the loss.

 

SMITHS FALLS 8 NEPEAN 0

Will Rivet scored twice, Riley Thompson, Alec Hamady, Sean James, Brody Fournier, Lleyton McLean, and Eli Wood-Doughart added singles, while Will McEvoy made 26-saves as Smiths Falls won their third straight to improve to 14-21-2-0 on the year. Nepean saw their record fall to 9-29-1-0.

 

OTTAWA 5 CARLETON PLACE 1

Simon Isabelle tallied two goals, Will Murphy, Samuel Edwards, and Julian Recine also scored, while William Desmarais made 15-saves as Ottawa improved to a CCHL leading 32-4-1-1. Carleton Place, who fell to 15-21-1-3, had their lone goal from Isaac Pascoal.

 

NAVAN 5 CORNWALL 2

Gabriel Crete and Justin Louette-Isaac scored two goals apiece, Owen Parsons added a single, while Ben West made 31-saves as Navan improved their season record to 21-13-0-1. Cornwall, who fell to 8-26-3-4, had goals from Keanu Krenn and Bradley Fraser, while Dax Easter made 33-saves in the loss.

 

ROCKLAND 2 PEMBROKE 1

Gabriel Fillion and Alexandre Frechette found the back of the net, while Jack McGovern made 29-saves as Rockland improved their record on the year to 15-19-2-1. Pembroke, who fell to 22-12-2-2, had their lone goal from Jacob Zwirecki, while Reece Proulx made 31-saves in the loss.
