Morning Recap | Braves, Canadians, and Raiders victorious Wednesday

 

Ottawa, ON – A rare busy Wednesday in the CCHL had victories coming from the Brockville Braves, Carleton Place Canadians, and Nepean Raiders.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 2 SMITHS FALLS 1

Corson Green and Josh Barnes tallied goals, while Jake Begley made 30-saves as Brockville improved their season record to 29-8-3-2. Smiths Falls, who saw their record fall to 19-18-2-1, had their lone goal from Ryan Richardson, while Victor Desjardins finished with 31-saves in the losing effort.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 PEMBROKE 1

Cameron Patton (2), Andrei Hromic, Caleb Kean, and Ben Brunette found the back of the net, while Devon Levi made 26-saves as Carleton Place on their sixth straight game to improve to a CCHL best 37-5-3-2. Pembroke saw their record fall to 21-19-2-1 on the year.

 

F | NEPEAN 4 OTTAWA 1

Beau Binnie (2), Patrick Maule, and Matt McQuade scored goals, while Tyler Laureault made 40-saves as Nepean grabbed an upset victory and improved to 8-32-1-2 on the season. Ottawa saw their record fall to 22-19-2-0 on the year.
