Morning Recap | A busy night across the region had 10 teams in action

 

Ottawa, ON – There were five games of CCHL action on Friday night, with Brockville, Rockland, Smiths Falls, Pembroke, and Carleton Place all picking up victories.

 

F | BROCKVILLE 5 KANATA 1

Sam Allison (2), Ryan Gillespie, Konnor MacCormick, and Rayce Jacobs tallied goals, while Jake Begley made 31-saves as Brockville improved to 4-2-2-0 on the season. Kanata dropped their second straight game, falling to 6-3-0-0 this season.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 4 HAWKESBURY 2

Brendan Dempsey and Bruce Coltart scored two goals apiece, while Victor Desjardins made 34-saves as Smiths Falls got their first win of the season, improving to 1-5-0-1. The Hawks, who fell to 4-5-0-0, got both of their goals from Luke Grainger.

 

F | ROCKLAND 5 KEMPTVILLE 4 OT

Cole Craft (2G, 1A), Gunnar Smith, and David Lafrance scored in regulation, Simon Labelle netted the overtime winner, while Cole Hudson made 26-saves as Rockland improved to 6-2-0-0 on the year. Kemptville received goals from Ryan Pawlikowski, Easton Ryan, Carter Vollett, and Madoka Suzuki, while William Anderson made 43-saves as Kemptville fell to 2-5-2-0 on the season.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 NAVAN 2

Andrew Poulias, Jack Stockfish, Cameron Hough, and Jacob Shankar tallied goals, while Reese Proulx made 47-saves as Pembroke improved to 7-1-0-0 on the year.  Navan fell to 5-4-0-0 on the season, and received goals from Mason Goldie and Jean-Sylvain Boyer, while Alex Wisco made 29-saves. 

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 5 NEPEAN 2

Jake Code (2), Elliot McDermott, Ryland Mosley, and David Gagnon found the net, while Addison Lawrence made 18-saves as Carleton Place improved to 9-1-0-0, tops in the Robinson Division. Nepean fell to 1-8-0-1 this season.
