Morning Recap | 10 Teams in Action across CCHL region Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – There were five games of CCHL action on Sunday, which saw victories from the Smiths Falls Bears, Renfrew Wolves, Brockville Braves, Hawkesbury Hawks, and Ottawa Junior Senators.

 

SMITHS FALLS 5 KEMPTVILLE 4 OT

Brody Fournier scored twice, including the overtime clincher, Isaac Barrett, Sean James, and Owen Watson added singles, while Will McEvoy finished with 38-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 16-24-2-0 on the season. Kemptville, who fell to 24-15-4-2, had a two-goal effort from Brock Krulicki, singles from Lane Morency and Adam Cavallin, while Rylan Donovan finished with 25-saves in the losing effort.

 

RENFREW 6 NEPEAN 2

Mathieu Parent and Charlie Johnson netted two goals apiece, Brendan Hill and Tyson Phare added singles, while Will Craig made 36-saves as Renfrew improved their season record to 27-16-1-1. Nepean, who fell to 11-32-1-0, had goals from Zachary Lefebvre and Alex Bergeron, while Nathan Loisel made 38-saves in the loss.

 

BROCKVILLE 4 CARLETON PLACE 0

Owen Belisle, Ryan Bonfield, Jack McDonald, and Nicolas Lariviere scored goals, while Brandon Abbott had a 24-save shutout as Brockville improved to 30-13-0-2 on the year. Carleton Place, who fell to 15-26-1-3, had a 29-save effort from Joe Chambers in the loss.

 

HAWKESBURY 4 NAVAN 1

Thomas Cusson, Willyam Gendron, Jakson Kirk, and Ryan Murphy found the back of the net, while Matthew Tovell made 32-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 30-10-2-2. Navan, who fell to 21-19-1-1, had their lone goal from Devyn Orpana, while Carter Garvie made 24-saves in the losing effort.

 

OTTAWA 4 PEMBROKE 1

Thomas Freel scored two goals, Vincent Velocci and Philippe Jacques added singles of their own, while William Desmarais made 32-saves as Ottawa improved their CCHL-leading record to 35-5-2-2-. Pembroke, who dropped to 26-15-2-2, had their lone goal from Jack Stockfish, while Nicholas Heinzle made 32-saves in the losing effort.
