Smiths Falls 2, Brockville 0

Smiths Falls Bears goaltender Bradley Dobson stopped all 33 shots he faced en route to a 2-0 shutout win over the visiting Brockville Braves on Tuesday night.

Hunter Garlasco and Alex Di Carlo found the mark for Mark Grady’s red-hot Bears (11-14-3), who with the win over Brockville (15-13-1) have now won five of their last six outings.

Nick Wiencek took the loss for the Braves after allowing two goals on 27 shots.

Ottawa 3, Kemptville 1

Chiwetin Blacksmith’s goal at 12:32 of the third period stood as the winner as the Ottawa Jr. Senators edged the Kemptville 73’s 3-1.

Finn Evans and Nick Lalonde also netted for Martin Dagenais’s Jr. Sens (23-4-2, CJHL #8), who outshot the visiting 73’s (6-23-1) nearly two-to-one (37-19).

Ashton Fry scored the lone goal for Jeff Jordan’s Kemptville team; the American forward now has a goal in each of his last three games.

Carleton Place 1, Nepean 0

Sam Allison scored the lone goal and Jeremie Forget pitched a shutout as the top-ranked Carleton Place Canadians edged the hometown Nepean Raiders.

The win was the fifth in a row for Jason Clarke’s Canadians (28-2-2, CJHL #1); the loss was the fourth straight for Darcy Findlay’s Raiders (10-16-1).

Hawkesbury 6, Rockland 3

David Jankowski scored twice and added an assist to lead the Hawkesbury Hawks to a 6-3 road win in Rockland on Wednesday night.

Alec Taillon (1G, 1A), Alec Beaudin-Tougas (2A) and Fletcher Anderson (2A) also had multi-point nights for Rick Dorval’s Hawks (17-8-1), who scored three second-period goals in the span of 4:22 to knock out the Nats (14-15-2).

Matt Petizian stopped 34 of 37 shots to earn the victory in net for the Hawks; Rockland starter Sean Storr was pulled after allowing six goals on 29 shots in 40 minutes of action.
