Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce that Cornwall Colts forward, JD Pogue, has committed to the Canisius College Golden Griffins NCAA Division I hockey team.
Pogue, 20, has scored 18 goals and 13 assists in 32 games played this season.
“When I stepped on campus, I knew Canisius would be a great fit for me” said Pogue on his commitment.
“They are a smaller school in the heart of downtown Buffalo. The hockey facilities are state-of-the-art and the coaching staff has made me feel really comfortable. With their guidance, I know that I will grow as a player.” Pogue also mentioned that he would be part of the Wehle School of Business as part of his course-load.
Cornwall Colts head coach Ian Macinnis also commented on Pogue’s commitment.
“JD is character person and a character player. His dedication to the improvement process will allow him to play this great game for a long time.” He said when asked on his game.
“Congrats to Canisus. They have just added a great person and athlete to their program.”
