Jason Clarke Named CCHL GM of the Year

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce the Carleton Place Canadians Coach, GM and Owner Jason Clarke has been named the winner of the 2017/18 General Manager of the Year award.

Clarke has lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a record 52-5-4 which is at top of the CCHL Standings. The Carleton Place, Ontario native has also had the Canadians at number one in the CJHL Rankings for more than half the season.

His squad currently has 11 players committed to an NCAA Hockey team and is known to be one of the best recruiters in the CCHL. He has brought in players from everywhere in the USA and from all over Canada.

Clarke’s assistant captain Tim Theocharidis says he is most dedicated and passionate GM or Coach in the CCHL.

“There are really no words to describe how hard he works off the ice to prepare us everyday, whether it is for practice or on a game day. Everyday he pushes us on the ice to be better hockey players and off the ice to be better people. There is really no plateauing in this program, there is always room for improvement whether it’s the regular season or the playoffs,” said Theocharidis.

One of Jason Clarke’s newest acquisitions, Keenan Reynolds, also says he is the most dedicated executive in the CCHL.

“Coming to Carleton Place in a trade, it was easy to see that Jason is a very detail oriented, and hard-working coach who demands commitment, and professionalism from all of his players on and off the ice. He has created a culture that revolves around having the “2% mindset” and a high standard of play at all times,” said Reynolds.

Clarke has had his Canadians over 100 plus points in four of the last five seasons and has won four straight Bogart Cups. He has also won three Fred Page Cups and has made it to the RBC Cup three times.
