The Central Canada Hockey League and Hawkesbury Hawks are pleased to announce that ’98 born Center Charles Levesque has committed to NCAA UMass Lowell for 2018-19.

The 5-9, 160lb Russell, ON native is a smart two-way centerman who also has strong hockey sense and playmaking ability.  He simply has a never-ending motor as he wont blow you away with flashy play but his “never quit” mentality wears down opposing defenders.  Levesque doesn’t let his lack of size keep him out of the tough areas of the ice as he scores a lot of goals from within 10 feet.

In his lone season of CCHL hockey with the Hawks, Levesque totaled 21 goals and 66 points in 72 combined regular season and playoff games.  He was named CCHL Rookie of the Year while also being named to the CCHL All-Academic Team showing that he works just as hard in the classroom as he does on the ice.

He will continue to develop his game at the junior level over the next two seasons before he joins the River Hawks in the fall of 2018.
