The Central Canada Hockey League and Hawkesbury Hawks are pleased to announce that ’96 born Center Brett Everson will join NCAA III Utica College for the 2017-18 season.

The 5-11, 180 lb Mississauga, ON native is in his second full season with the Hawks where he finished fourth overall in league scoring with 70 points (17G, 53A) in 59 games.  In 169 total regular season and playoff games between the Carleton Place Canadians and Hawks, Everson has 40 goals and 122 points to his credit.  He spent the 2014-15 season as a member of the Lloydminster Bobcats of the AJHL where he scored 12 goals and totaled 35 points in 58 games.

“Since the day we acquired Brett we have seen a young man who has not only matured as a hockey player but also as an individual off the ice,” said Hawks GM/Head Coach Rick Dorval.  “As a coach, I am more proud of the steps Brett has taken off the ice to better himself.  The skills have always been there and as he continues to do the right things off the ice, personal success will surely follow him,” added Dorval.
