Morning Recap | Four games of action in rare busy Saturday of CCHL action

 

Ottawa, ON – A rare busy Saturday night saw the Ottawa Jr Senators, Kemptville 73’s, Nepean Raiders, and Smiths Falls Bears pick up victories as the regular season winds down.

 

F | OTTAWA 5 KANATA 4

Tucker McIntosh, Josh Shimizu, Ethan Mulhearn, Vincent Velocci, and Maxime Blanchard scored goals, while Bryan Landsberger made 38-saves as Ottawa improved to 34-24-3-0 on the year. Kanata, who saw their record fall to 25-28-2-6, had goals from Lukash Matthews (2), Trevor Poeze, and Paul Larabie, while Jean-Philippe Tourigny made 24-saves in the loss.

 

F | KEMPTVILLE 4 HAWKESBURY 1

Nicholas Domitrovic, Madoka Suzuki, Jeff Taylor, and Matthew York tallied goals, while Riley McCabe made 23-saves as Kemptville finishes the regular season with a record of 26-31-4-1. Hawkesbury finishes with a 36-24-2-0 record on the year.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 5 BROCKVILLE 3

Bruce Coltart (2), Ryan Richardson (2), and Cameron McLean found the back of the net, while Victor Desjardins made 20-saves in relief as Smiths Falls finishes the regular season with a 33-24-3-2 record. Brockville finishes with a record of 36-16-3-7.

 

F | NEPEAN 6 CORNWALL 5 SO

Beau Binnie, Evan Boucher, Zachary Gravel, Louis Chabot, and Matt McQuade scored in regulation, McQuade went on to score the shootout winner, while Tyler Laureault made 38-saves as Nepean finishes the season 11-48-1-2. Cornwall, who fell to 21-34-1-5 with one game to play, had goals from Stephen Panico, James St-Louis, Sam Gaudreau, Emerick Nadeau, and Riley MacDonald, while Jakob Robillard made 42-saves in the loss.
