The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is pleased to announce the Corporate Hype/CCM Player of the Weekis Francis Marotte of the Nepean Raiders. Marotte backstopped the Raiders to win over the Cumberland Grads and shoot-out loss to the Pembroke Lumber Kings. The Raider goaltender was outstanding posting a 1.5 Goals Against and .954 Save Percentage. The Longeuil, QC native is one of the main reasons the Raiders are going to secure the final play-off birth.
The Canadian Central Junior Hockey League (CJHL) released its weekly National Top 20 rankings. It features three CCHL teams with the Carleton Place Canadians ranked 4th, the Ottawa Jr. Senators remained at 13th, while the Pembroke Lumber Kings are now the 20th best team in Canada.
