RENFREW, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Renfrew Wolves are pleased to announce that 2001 born London, ON native Sam Willits has committed to USPORTS University of Western Ontario for the 2022-23 school year.
Willits recently completed his final season of junior hockey with the Wolves where he finished with 17 points (5G, 12A) from the back-end while showing strong leadership qualities on and off the ice as an alternate captain.
Prior to his time in the CCHL, Willits suited up for the OCN Blizzard of the MJHL during the 2019-20 season and for Stanstead College in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
“We are very excited for Sam as he spent the last two seasons with us during the pandemic season and this past season,” said Wolves General Manager and Head Coach Ryan Leonard. “He will now get a well deserved opportunity to play hockey and go to University right in his hometown of London. We wish him all the best in his new adventure.”
Willits is a product of the London Jr Knights AAA Minor Hockey Association.
