Commitment Alert | Grads Joel Pavey commits to Elmira College

NAVAN, ON – The Navan Grads of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) are proud to announce that forward Joel Pavey has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Elmira College Soaring Eagles in the United College Hockey Conference (UCHC).

Pavey, 20, recently completed his final season of junior hockey in the CCHL.  In a Covid-19 shortened season, Pavey was poised to have a breakout season offensively, in 10 games played he registered 5 goals, 6 assists and 11 points for the Grads. The 6’00/185lbs. native of Sarnia, Ontario, joined the Navan Grads in 2019-2020 and immediately made a big impression on the organization.

General Manager and Head Coach Marty Abrams said, “Joel had a positive impact upon his arrival to our program, immediately taking on a leadership position within our group. His maturity and commitment was a huge asset last season with our younger players. Our program was fortunate to have Joel help steer the ship in a very difficult 2020-21 season. His ability to play a complete 200 foot game should help his on-ice transition to the NCAA game next season with Elmira College and we look forward to following his development. We wish him and the Soaring Eagles the best of luck this coming season.”

Elmira College fans should be excited to see Pavey in a Soaring Eagles jersey this fall.
