OTTAWA, ON – The Central Canada Hockey League and Cornwall Colts are pleased to announce that goaltender Alex Houston has committed to NCAA Canisius College for the second semester of the 2021-22 season. He is set to join the Golden Griffins after Christmas.
The 2002 born Canton, OH native has posted a 3-11-3-3 record to date, with a 3.62 GAA, .896 SV%, 1 shutout, while making a whopping 618 saves.
“My time in Cornwall was a fantastic experience,” said Houston. We had a great group of guys who battled hard every night and I can’t thank them enough for their help getting me to this point. Playing in the CCHL has prepared me to take the next steps in my hockey career at Canisius College and I cannot thank coach MacInnis and the rest of the league enough for the opportunity.”
Prior to his time with the Colts, Houston spent time at Gilmour Academy and with the Pueblo Bulls of the USPHL Premier circuit.
