The Pembroke Lumber Kings' Felix Chamberland had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 5-1 win over the Cumberland Grads.
Chamberland scored at 17:35 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 1:20 into the third to make the score 4-1 Pembroke.
Cumberland was stymied by Pembroke's netminder Sean Green, who stopped 33 shots during the victory. Green certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.73 entering the contest.
The Lumber Kings' penalty kill excelled, as Pembroke gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.
The Lumber Kings stifled the Grads' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Cumberland was unable to stop Pembroke from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lumber Kings eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.
Pembroke also got points from Anthony Nellis, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Alexandre Boivin, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Pembroke also got a goal from Adam Dauda as well. More assists for Pembroke came via Stephen Cooney, who had two and Hudson Michaelis, Ryan Casselman, Cale List, and Adam Beveridge, who contributed one each.
The Grads' offense rang up 34 shots on Pembroke's net.
The Lumber Kings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Kevin Gollmer rejected 36 shots on goal for the Grads. Cumberland incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
