CCHL Recap | Wolves, 73’s and Hawks Win Wednesday Evening

Ottawa, ON – Three games were happening in the Central Canada Hockey League this Wednesday evening. The Renfrew Wolves hosted the Brockville Braves, after 60-minutes the Wolves take the game 7-4. The Kemptville 73’s visited the Nepean Raiders and took home a 6-3 win. Lastly, the Hawkesbury Hawks took a trip to meet the Ottawa Junior Senators and took back a 3-2 win.

F | Brockville 4 Renfrew 7

The 1st period saw goals from Nicholas Esposito of Brockville and Andrew Morton of Renfrew. Renfrew dominated the 2nd period with goals from Henry Wilson, Hunter McKnight (2 goals), and Andrew Morton, while Lucas Chulhane and Brendan Coughlin found the net for Brockville. The 3rd period featured goals from Owen Watson (Brockville) and Ethan Smith, Jack Dolan (Renfrew). Goaltender Zane Spaniol of Brockville made an impressive 39 saves, while Viacheslav Gordeichuk of Renfrew stopped 27 shots.

F | Kemptville 6 Nepean 3

The 1st period showcased goals from Peter Freel (Nepean) and a hat trick from Tyler Melvin (Kemptville). Emile Trottier extended Kemptville’s lead in the 2nd period. The 3rd period featured goals from Nick Houben, Mario Scalise (Nepean), and Emile Trottier, Matthew O’Doherty (Kemptville). Goaltender Jacob Biron of Kemptville made 34 saves, while Brady McEwan of Nepean stopped 31 shots.

F | Hawkesbury 3 Ottawa 2

The 1st period featured goals from Alexis Minville (Hawkesbury) and Conrad Moline (Ottawa). Jordan Graham scored for Ottawa in the 2nd period. The decisive 3rd period saw goals from Alexis Billequey and Wyatt Schmidek (Hawkesbury). Goaltender Dimitri Pelekos of Hawkesbury made 33 saves, and Ottawa’s Will Mizenko stopped 27 shots.
