CCHL Recap | Five Games on Sunday Night Were Hot

Ottawa, ON – Five games were happening across Sunday afternoon and evening last night. Hawkesbury, Nepean, Carleton Place, Navan and Pembroke come out winning their games.

F | Hawkesbury 6 Kemptville 3

Hawkesbury dominated Kemptville in a 6-3 victory. The first period saw Remi Gagne’s two goals, setting the tone. The second period continued the onslaught with goals from Gagne, Alexis Minville, and Aleksy Bandu for Hawkesbury, and Ty Whyte for Kemptville. In the third, Grady Logue and Ty Whyte scored for Kemptville, but it wasn’t enough. Alexis Minville added another for Hawkesbury. Goaltender Caleb Chabot made 38 saves for Hawkesbury.

F | Rockland 3 Nepean 4 (OT)

Nepean secured a thrilling overtime win against Rockland. Dylan Paron opened the scoring for Nepean in the first period. Rockland responded with goals by Jaden Davis and Xavier Laurent in the second. Lleyton McLean tied it up for Nepean. In the third, Trystan-Felix Tremblay scored for Rockland, but Owen Hardy equalized for Nepean. The game was sealed in overtime with Curtiss Sturgeon’s goal. Goaltender Wills Seagrave made 36 saves for Rockland.

F | Smiths Falls 1 Carleton Place 3

Carleton Place triumphed over Smiths Falls with a 3-1 victory. Jace Benvie and Will Soloway scored in the second period, and Masen Cullen added one in the third. Alec Hamady got the lone goal for Smiths Falls. Goaltender Jackson Pundyk made 41 saves for Carleton Place.

F | Ottawa 1 Navan 2 (OT)

Navan clinched an overtime victory against Ottawa. Sebbie Johnson opened the scoring for Navan in the first period, and Jordan Graham tied it for Ottawa in the third. Cole Jenken secured the win for Navan in overtime. Goaltender Jaeden Nelson made 26 saves for Navan.

F | Brockville 2 Pembroke 3 (OT)

Pembroke narrowly edged out Brockville in overtime. After a scoreless first period, Kayden Buller and Aidan Carolan scored for Brockville in the second. Eric Barnard and Ryan Parent answered for Pembroke in the third, with Parent sealing the win in overtime. Goaltender Dax Easter made 35 saves for Brockville.
