CCHL Recap | Five Games Across CCHL Region Sunday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL region on Sunday saw victories from the Kemptville 73’s, Ottawa Junior Senators, Carleton Place Canadians, Smiths Falls Bears, and Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Nathan Merrett, Ty Whyte, and Chase Lammi registered goals, while Jacob Biron made 35-saves for the shutout as Kemptville improve to 5-6-2-0 on the season. Brockville had a 27-saves performance from Sami Molu as they fell to 6-7-0-0 on the year.

 

F | OTTAWA 2 NEPEAN 1

Massimo Gentile and Emile Villiard scored, while Connor Shibley made 36-saves as Ottawa improved their CCHL-best record to 11-3-1-0. Nepean, who fell to 3-7-1-2, had their lone goal from Tyler Melvin, while Luca Sandu made 31-saves in the loss.

 

F | CARLETON PLACE 6 ROCKLAND 4

Matteo Disipio and Will Soloway scored two goals apiece, Loic Prudhomme and Gino Colangelo added singles, while Jackson Pundyk made 27-saves as Carleton Place improved to 7-5-0-0 on the year. Rockland, who dropped to 7-4-1-1, had goals from Patrick Lanthier, Jonathan Swyer, Adriano Lombardo-Tullo, and Nicolas White, while Hadyn Gould made 11-saves in the loss.

 

F | SMITHS FALLS 6 NAVAN 

Garrett Joss and Sean James tallied two goals each, Kai Stothers and Trevor Faucher also scored, while Will McEvoy made 33-saves as Smiths Falls improved to 9-4-0-1 on the season. Navan, who fell to a record of 8-5-2-0, had goals from Blake Butler, Owen Parsons, Nicholas Paone, Joseph Ianiello, and Nicholas Bennett, while Diego D’Alessandro made 18-saves on the losing side of things.

 

F | PEMBROKE 4 HAWKESBURY 3 SO

Lucas Legault, Nick Foster, and Pratt Stetson scored in regulation, Colin Vassallo netted the shootout winner, while Ben Forget made 27-saves as Pembroke improved to 3-8-0-1. Hawkesbury, who fell to 7-3-1-3, had goals from Ryan Liverman, Bradley Horner, and Aidan Stubbings, while Dekon Randell-Snow finished with 29-saves in the loss.
