CCHL Recap | Five Game Friday

 

OTTAWA, ON – Five games across the CCHL region on Friday night saw victories from Pembroke, Hawkesbury, Ottawa, Kemptville, and Rockland.

 

PEMBROKE 2 BROCKVILLE 1 OT

Sacha Trudel scored in regulation, Colin Vassallo netted the overtime winner, while Ben Forget made 32-saves as Pembroke improved to 8-22-2-1. Brockville, who fell to 16-15-3-1, had their lone goal from Kowin Belsterling, while Sami Molu made 35-saves in the loss.

 

HAWKESBURY 4 CORNWALL 3 SO

Landon Brownlee scored twice, Ryan Liverman added a single, Brownlee went on to score the shootout winner as well, while Dimitri Pelekos made a whopping 52-saves as Hawkesbury improved their season record to 19-11-3-3. Cornwall, who fell to a record of 15-18-1-1, had goals from Brayden Bowen, Nolan Gagnon, and Nathan Garnier, while Cameron Hollands made 48-saves in the losing effort.

 

OTTAWA 1 SMITHS FALLS 0

Massimo Gentile scored the lone goal, while Rorke Applebee pitched a 30-save shutout as Ottawa improved their CCHL-best record to 28-5-3-1. Smiths Falls, who fell to 22-10-1-2, had a 30-save effort from Will McEvoy in the loss.

 

KEMPTVILLE 6 NEPEAN 1

Hunter Brazier scored twice, Ryan Rutley, Gavin McDougall, Matt Thomas, and Tyler Melvin added singles, while Alex Musielak made 25-saves as Kemptville improved to 13-16-4-1 on the year. Nepean, who dropped to 8-24-1-3, had their lone tally from Owen Hardy in the loss.

 

ROCKLAND 3 RENFREW 2

Kyle Leonard, Guilaume Labre, and Yanic Crete found the net, while Hadyn Gould made 25-saves as Rockland improved to 15-14-2-2. Renfrew, who fell to 20-11-1-2, had goals from Brendan Waivada and Elvis Slack, while Sebastian Resar made 28-saves in the losing effort.
