CCHL Recap | Colts Win Thursday Evening

Ottawa, ON – The Cornwall Colts hosted the Nepean Raiders Thursday evening and ended the night with a Colts in 6-2.

In a high-scoring clash, Cornwall dominated Nepean with a 6-2 victory. The 1st period saw Cornwall’s Kobe Tallman and Nathan Garnier netting goals, setting the pace. Nepean struck back in the 2nd period, as Jonah Henderson and Riley Streska scored, but Cornwall quickly responded with goals from Ethan Montroy, Fernand-Olivier Perron, and Nicolas Gingras. The 3rd period intensified with Cornwall’s Ethan Montroy sealing the win. Despite Nepean’s efforts, Cornwall’s defense held strong. Nepean’s goaltender John Gedraitis made 19 crucial saves before being replaced by Brady McEwan, who contributed 10 saves. On the other end, Cornwall’s goaltender Donald Hickey was a standout, making an impressive 32 saves, denying Nepean’s attempts to turn the tide. Cornwall’s comprehensive performance secured a convincing win in an action-packed game.
