KANATA 5 CORNWALL 4

 

’96 born Staten Island, NY native Paul Vella scored two late third period goals to help lift the Kanata Lasers (2-5-0-0) to a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over the Cornwall Colts (5-2-0-1).

 

Luke Seper, Ethan Manderville, and Arik Breton also scored for the Lasers, while goaltender Ryan Franz finished with 33 saves for his first career CCHL victory. 

 

For the Colts it was Nick Lalonde continuing his hot play as he added 1 goal and 2 assists in the losing effort.  Lalonde’s three-point night put him tops in the CCHL scoring race with 5 goals and 15 points through 8 games.

 

HAWKESBURY 4 OTTAWA 2

 

Brett Everson scored twice, Charles Levesque and Joe Smith each tallied 1 goal apiece and Matthew Chan stopped 27 of 29 shots as the Hawkesbury Hawks (4-2-0-0) knocked off the Ottawa Jr Senators (2-4-1-0) by a 4-2 score Thursday night.

 

Luke McCaw and Nicolas Samson replied for the Jr Senators, while Ian Andriano made 18 saves in the loss.
