Braves, Evenson named CCM Week 13 Player of the Week

Ottawa, Ont – The Central Canada Hockey League announced Tuesday that Brockville Braves netminder Justin Evenson has been named the CCM Player of the Week.

Evenson, 19, made three starts for the Braves this week – posting a 3-and-0 record and a .943 save percentage. The Minnesota native allowed just 5GA on 87 shots during Brockville 3-1 week 13 finish.

Among CCHL goalies – he is currently second in SV% (.930), third in GAA (2.16) and is tied for the second with 15 wins.

Honourable mentions for Week 13 went to Brockville Braves forward Jonathan Hill and Ottawa forward Nick Lalonde.

Hill, 19, had six points (2G/4A) over four games with Brockville this week. The Braves blue-liner propelled his team to a 6-2 win over Hawkesbury on Sunday, recording three assists.

The Whitby native leads all D-men in goals (14) and is third among them in points (27).

Lalonde, 19, posted six points (4G/2A) in three games for Ottawa this week. The Robert Morris commit has the largest point per-game total in the CCHL (1.59) with 27 points (13G/14A) in 17 games.
