Bogart Cup Playoff Recap | Braves, Wolves, Grads, and Bears win

 

OTTAWA, ON – Tuesday night saw three Bogart Cup Playoff Quarter-Final Game 1 match-ups as well as a Sudden Death Play-In Game. The Brockville Braves, Renfrew Wolves, and Navan Grads all took 1-0 Series leads, while the Smiths Falls Bears punched their ticket into the dance with a win over Rockland.

 

PLAY-IN GAME | SMITHS FALLS 4 ROCKLAND 1

Brody Fournier, Will Rivet, Sean James, and Conor Ronayne all scored goals, while Will McEvoy made 29-saves as Smiths Falls advanced into the Bogart Cup Playoffs where they are set to face the Ottawa Junior Senators. Rockland had their lone goal from Manny Cabral, while Jack McGovern made 30-saves in the losing effort.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 1 | RENFREW 7 KEMPTVILLE 3

Mathieu Parent scored two goals, Tyler Schweitzer, Elvis Slack, Brendan Hill, Noah Vom Scheidt, and Samuel Willits also scored, while Will Craig made 37-saves as Renfrew got off the ground running to take Game 1. Kemptville had goals from Brock Krulicki, Chase Lammi, and Benjamin Campeau, while Tyler Laureault made 33-saves in the loss.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 1 | BROCKVILLE 4 PEMBROKE 1

Luke Tchor scored twice, Ryan Bonfield and Colin Elliott tallied singles, while Sami Molu made 24-saves as Brockville put a strong controlled game on display to win Game 1. Pembroke had their lone goal from Jesse Kirkby, while Reece Proulx made 17-saves in the loss.

 

QUARTER FINAL GAME 1 | NAVAN 4 HAWKESBURY 3 OT

Cayden Faust, Nathan Villeneuve, and Aiden McCarthy scored in regulation, Alec Lovisek netted the overtime winner, while Ben West made 26-saves as Navan got a big road victory to begin their postseason. Hawkesbury received goals from Ryan Murphy, Josh Spratt, and Kerfalla Toure, while Matthew Tovell made 23-saves in the loss.
