Belisle named Week 19 CCM Player of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The Central Canada Hockey League is proud to announce that Antoine Belisle of the Nepean Raiders has been named our Week 19 CCM Player of the Week.

Belisle, 19, scored three goals and a total of four points in Nepean’s two extra-time losses to Rockland this week. The St. Bruno, Que native leads the Raiders in points (35) and goals (14) this season.

The un-committed born centre, believes a lot of his success this week came with the help of his line mates.

“Ever since we traded for Silas (Mattawashish) a few weeks ago, things have been clicking with me, Gauthier and him” noted Belisle. “It’s nice to get on the scoresheet but it would have been nice to get the wins against Rockland last week”.

Antoine also believes he has the opportunity to commit to a Division One University next season for his final year of junior.

This week honourable mentions go out to Zach McMahon of the Brockville Braves and Cornwall Colts forward Konnor MacCormick.

McMahon, a 16 year old rookie scored a goal and three helpers in Brockvilles win over Smiths Falls, last Tuesday.

MacCormick, 18, posted one goal and four assists in two games with Cornwall, leading them to a 1-0-1 record last week.

The Player of the Week Award is sponsored by CCM Hockey.
