Anderson Named CCM Player of the Week

Ottawa, Ont. — The Central Canada Hockey League announced this morning that Ottawa Jr. Senators forward Isaac Anderson has been named CCM Player of the Week for Week 8 (Oct. 17-23).

Anderson, a 20-year-old Petawawa, Ont. native, tallied five points (1G, 4A) in two games — both Jr. Sens wins — against Nepean (10/18) and Kanata (10/19).

The uncommitted Ottawa forward has recorded 13 points (3G, 10A) in 2017-18, his fourth full season in the CCHL.

Honourable mentions this week went to Carleton Place goaltender Michael Leach and Ottawa forward Conor Smart.

Leach, 18, stopped 32 of 33 shots en route to a pair of wins against Navan (10/17) and Smiths Falls (10/22) — the latter a shutout. The Dunrobin, Ont. native sits third in the CCHL in goals-against average (2.13).

Smart, 18, scored four goals over the course of Ottawa’s two wins, including a hat-trick in a 7-1 demolition job of Kanata (10/19). The uncommitted Keswick, Ont. native now has 13 points (6G, 7A) in 19 games this season.
