ALUMNI: FORMER LUMBER KING CHAMBERLAND NAMED AHC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Just a year ago Felix Chamberland led the entire CCHL in scoring with 48 goals (11 of them game-winners) and 99 points while he was a member of the Pembroke Lumber Kings.

Fast forward one year and the Levis, QC native is now plying his craft with Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.  He recently had his most productive offensive week as a freshman tallying 2 goals and 1 assist in two road victories over Bentley University.  He may not yet be scoring at the same pace he did in junior but with his hockey sense and offensive upside he won't be far off once he adds more experience at the college level.

He is currently second in freshman scoring with the Golden Griffins with 5 goals and 12 points in 27 games.  He will next be in action this Friday and Saturday as Canisius plays host to Sacred Heart.

During the 2012-13 season, Chamberland was a member of the OJHL's Linday Muskies where he posted 26 goals and 58 points in 53 games.  He followed that up with two seasons as a member of the CCHL's Pembroke Lumber Kings where totalled 91 goals and 200 points in 135 regular season and playoff games.
