The Central Canada Hockey League is pleased to announce the CCM Hockey Performers of the Month for December.
Derek Hamilton of the Carleton Place Canadians is the Player of the Month, Rorke Applebee from the Ottawa Junior Senators claimed Goaltender of the Month honours, while Cato Ryan from the Carleton Place Canadians earned Rookie of the Month.
PLAYER OF THE MONTH | DEREK HAMILTON
The 2002 born Kingston, ON native led all skaters in Points in December with 16 (4G, 12A) in 8 games of action. On the season, Hamilton sits 4th overall in the CCHL with 40 points (13G, 27A) and is currently on a 23-game point-streak.
GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH | RORKE APPLEBEE
The 2003 born Chateauguay, QC native went a perfect 5-0-0-0 in December, leading all goaltenders with a .950 SV% and 1.58 GAA while also picking up 1 shutout. On the season, Applebee sports a 13-2-2-0 record with a .935 SV%, 2.08 GAA, and 1 shutout.
ROOKIE OF THE MONTH | CATO RYAN
The 2006 born Kanata, ON native finished tied in scoring among rookies in December with 8 points (4G, 4A) in 8 games of action. On the season, Ryan is also tied in the rookie scoring race with 19 points (8G, 11A) in 29 games.
