OTTAWA, ON – A busy Sunday saw ten teams in action as the Nepean Raiders, Rockland Nationals, Ottawa Junior Senators, Brockville Braves, and Pembroke Lumber Kings picked up victories.
NEPEAN 6 SMITHS FALLS 5 OT
Tyler Melvin scored twice, including the overtime winner, Anthony Rivard, Alex Bergeron, Jeff Taylor, and Ryan Liverman also tallied goals, while Connor Shibley made 35-saves as the Raiders improved their record on the season to 4-8-1-0. The Bears, who fell to 3-10-1-0, received goals from Brody Fournier, Colton Chipman, Ty Campbell, Jacob Lesser, and Sean James, while Victor Desjardins made 35-saves on the losing end of things.
ROCKLAND 4 KEMPTVILLE 3
Jack Meloff, Giovanni Morneau, Manny Cabral, and William Collins scored goals, while Jack McGovern finished with 20-saves as Rockland saw their record on the year improve to 4-8-1-1. Kemptville, whose record dropped to 9-5-0-1, had goals off the stick of Matthew York, Patrick Larkin, and Chase Lammi, while Tyler Laureault made 22-saves in the losing effort.
OTTAWA 4 CARLETON PLACE 1
Braxton Ross, Simon Isabelle, Philippe Jacques, and Vincent Velocci scored, while William Desmarais made 16-saves as Ottawa improved to 11-2-0-0 on the year. Jake Code scored the lone goal for the Canadians, while Joe Chambers finished with 24-saves in the loss for the 6-7-0-1 Canadians.
BROCKVILLE 4 NAVAN 2
Owen Rainey, Patrick Lanthier, Steven Whittle, and Thomas Haynes all found the back of the net, while Will McEvoy made 33-saves as the Braves improved to 8-4-0-1 on the season. Navan, whose record fell to 9-4-0-0, had goals from Joseph Ianneillo and Alec Lovisek, while Ben West finished with 47-saves in the losing effort.
PEMBROKE 4 CORNWALL 3 OT
Jack Stockfish, Zac Correia, and Brady Egan scored in regulation, Jesse Kirkby netted the overtime winner, while Dalton McBride finished with 26-saves as Pembroke improved their season record to 8-3-1-1. Cornwall, whose record dropped to 3-7-3-2, had goals from Matt Harvey, Zack Speck-Meek, and Emerick Nadeau, while Alex Houston made 34-saves in the loss.
