The Central Canada Hockey League and Kemptville 73’s are pleased to announce that ’96 born F Alex Row will continue his hockey career at Queens University next fall.

The 5-10, 195 lb Elizabethtown, ON native is in his fifth full season with the 73’s and is currently 8th overall in league scoring with 17 goals and 50 points through 44 games.  In 276 career games, Row has scored 78 goals and totaled 185 points.  He is a graduate of the Upper Canada Cyclones AAA Minor Hockey program.

Known across the league to have a very high compete level and be one of the top leaders in the junior circuit.  Row has a strong two-way game, as he can create offense as well as shadow opposing top players.  He plays on both the power-play and penalty kill units and is on the ice when the game is on the line.

“I would like to thank Ron Tugnutt and the Kemptville 73’s organization for everything they have done for me hockey wise,” said Row.  It has been a pleasure playing in Kemptville for my entire career.  I will always remember my years here from being a rookie all the way to being named team captain.”

Row will finish up his final season with the 73’s and then be off to University where he will suit up for the Queens University Gaels in the fall of 2017.  The Gaels are currently 2nd overall in the Ontario University Athletics Division with a 15-4-1 record.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to start the next chapter of my life at Queens University where I will be studying Life Sciences, said Row.  My mom attended Queens for Nursing and I know how much she loved it, so I am excited to do the same.”
